British Heart Foundation Red Carpet Gala
Last night was the ‘ Roll Out The Red Carpet’ gala by The British Heart Foundation organisation. This red carpet glitzy event was held at The Savoy, London where many celebrities attended to show their support. Those that attended included Sinitta, Made in Chelsea star Ollie Proudlock, his girlfriend, model Emma Louise Connolly, TOWIE star Jessica Wright and Hugh Grant to name a few.
Sinitta arrived in a glamorous all black dress, with matching red fringed wrap for that ‘something red’, while Jessica Wright looked stunning in a long red laced gown with matching purse. The lady of the night Pippa Middleton stole the the red carpet wearing an elegant monochrome dress accessorised with a red ‘heart shaped’ purse, which was very fitting for the occasion and represented why everyone was there.
The event was hosted by ITV’s newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky, and included performances by BGT judge Alesha Dixon and Brit-Award winning vocal group BLAKE, with a classical performance by DUO. During the night Pippa stood up and gave a heart-warming speech about her role as ambassador, paying tribute to the loss of her friend Miles Frost, who died suddenly last July of a cardiac arrest, and why she feels so passionate about the organisation.
An exclusive live auction was then led by Lord Jeffrey Archer who auctioned off items such as, a limited edition David Bowie portrait and at the last minute Pippa’s eye-catching red ‘heart-shaped’ bag, raising a phenomenal amount for the charity. Other items were donated and bidded for by the public via an online auction that night, raising even more money towards funding new life saving research in the fight against heart disease. These items were – Pippa Middleton’s silk dress and scarf designed by herself along with a signed photo, The Saturday’s Mollie King’s sleeveless coat, a Valentines weekend away at Downtown Abbey’s Highclere Castle and a date with Made in Chelsea’s Ollie Locke.
